The onboarding process can be expensive and the cost can be a potential barrier for new centres to join our registries, in particular for centres from low-income countries. You can help us to include more centres from around the world and ensure our registries are representative of all patients who suffer the burden of a hip condition.

Not all families are able to afford the cost of a brace required to treat their child’s hip condition or other adaptable equipment needed to accommodate life in a brace. 

The Pavlik harness is a soft splint. It is most commonly used for treating infants with developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH). It helps keep the infant's hips and knees bent and the thighs spread apart.

The Rhino Cruiser is used for hips that are stable and not dislocating, or what we would call shallow or dysplastic hips. Typically this brace is used for children ages six weeks and up.

he HIPpy Research Lab will be hosting focus groups with patients and families to help us determine our research priorities for the future. You can help to support this partnership with funding to compensate patients/families for their time to participate.

Patient/family reimbursement estimated at $50-100 per session
